BACOLLYWOOD, our own version of Hollywood, has been consistently providing young and upcoming artists in theatre and cinema with quality and affordable trainings.
Instead of going to Manila and pay between P20,000 to P25,000 for workshops, aspiring film and theatre artists from Negros can enroll in Bacollywood Workshops and pay only between P3,000 to P4,000 and get the same quality of training, and even more.
With the help of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, Bacolllywood Workshops bring in a line-up of instructors from the film industry in the Philippines.
The workshops will start on April 21 and will run until May 17. Enrolment at Gallery Orange is ongoing, with limited slots. For reservations and inquiries, contact Arielle (0923-8735377) or Dugang (0927-8256749).
Acting classes include Basic Acting, Children's Theatre with Amber Aguilar and Jack Trino, Teenage Acting with Jack Trino, and Basic Theatre Improvisations with Gabby Fernandez and Eero Martinez.
Technical courses, on the other hand, are Film Production with Manny Montelibano and Lawrence Fajardo, Make-up for Film and Theatre with Carlos Durana, Cinematography by Jay Abello, and Digital Photography by RJ Lacson.
Registration fee for Digital Photography and Basic Theatre Improvisations, both to be held in USLS, will be P4,000 each, while the rest of the classes are P3,000.
After the workshops, organizers will segue to the 6th Bacollywood Film Festival on May 19 to 24.
Bacollywood is formerly Negros Summer Workshops which ran for 20 years. It changed name in 2010.
