GETTING hitched and excited and planning a wedding is made easier with Kasalan 2014: Timeless Wedding Bridal Fair, a bridal exhibition organized by Wedding and Event Planners Organization of Negros Inc. (WEPON) at Robinsons Place Bacolod last April 21 to 27.

Before the bride says “I do,” WEPON makes sure she gets all the best stuff needed to plan a wedding with ease.

The best organizers in the local wedding industry converged on this bridal fair showcasing the essentials of the celebration: wedding cakes, music, photographers, flowers, giveaways, wedding gowns and formal wears, wedding rings, make-up artists, hairstylists, hotel receptions, cars and limousine services, and honeymoon destinations.

WEPON is composed of the best wedding planners in Bacolod City. They are Pinky Mirano-Ocampo—president, Ellen Lindaya—vice president, Dwight Morana—secretary, Kayte Aguilar-Matiling—treasurer, and Joedel Morante—public information officer.

Dwight Morana is a good friend of mine and he is the son of one of the best lawyers in the city, Atty. Rosslyn Morana Sr. My Dad, the former mayor of Ilog, Romeo Vargas, and Tito Rosslyn were good friends and he was one of the lawyers of my Dad when he was still a mayor.

I had seen the fabulous bridal works of Dwight when he was the wedding planner of my cousin Michael Genito and his bride Michelle. He is very professional and as an artist, he has good tastes.

Now on its 8th year, the bridal fair was capped with a bridal fashion show directed by Dwight.

It featured timeless wedding gowns of Bacolod’s best John-John Ditching, Iloilo’s grand young fashion designer Jet Salcedo, one of Philippines, best Patis Tesoro, Cebu’s Mary Ty, Simply Chic and Ysabelle’s.

Also featured was MassKara Fashion Week 2013 pride, the Bacolod Circle of Young Designers composed of Chino Christophers, Kat Padilla, John Rondain, Kym Palma, Heavenly San Miguel, Nick Villar and Ilog’s pride Steve Gensola.

The event also featured bridal exhibitors including SKT, Da Works, Ysabelle’s Bridals, My Choice Party Shop, Carvi Canopy and Tent Rental and Sales, Palmas de Mar Conference Resort Hotel, Misyel’s Catering, D’Bakers, Jes Photoworks, Trims and Treasures, Design Lab, John-John Ditching, Benjie Borja, Calishoots by Randy Calipusan, J Studios, Unlimited Occasions by Kayte Aguilar-Matiling, Green Lilies Flower Shop, Personal Touches by Ellen Lindaya, Iyo Gaudite Photography, Your Event Specialist by Joedel Morante, Amelvin’s Touch Flowers and Decors, Sugarland Hotel, Planta Centro Bacolod Hotel and Residences, Business Inn, Concept Media Productions, Evento Weddings and Events, Zaycoland Resort and Hotel, Louise & Co., Motion by Edgar Pama, Midori Moon by Yap Photography, Simply Chic, Belle Visage and Bounce Mobile Bar.
