IN THIS generation of electronic dance and music parties, party people of the 80s and 90s showed the new generation how they party with class and sass through Skyhigh: Backtracks The Music of the 80s and 90s.
Held in the posh Skyview Lounge of East View Hotel, the party was flanked by the bright lights of Bacolod giving it a 71 Gramercy-kind of vibe made better with Bacolonon flair.
Skyhigh was not just about nostalgic fun. The organizers headed by Atty. JR Gumabon and Katrina Uy declared it a “party for a cause.” Proceeds of the event were donated in full to the JCI Metro Bacolod, an organization of well-meaning young professionals and entrepreneurs who always try to give back to the community through livelihood projects and outreach activities.
The party was graced by the fairest of Bacolod’s party elites—the herederos and herederas with a big heart—and lasted till early morning. Led by the master of 90s DJ Jao Varela, the legendary DJ White—Nicky Puentevella, and Manila’s Godfather of DJs Arnel Castillo, the patrons of the party were treated to the best of 80s and 90s music.
Skyhigh was a reminder that in Bacolod, parties are not just events – it’s a lifestyle!
Meanwhile, it’s time to wear our best denims tomorrow, July 19, at the Splurge: The Foam Party & Denim Movement at SM City Bacolod’s southwing vacant lot, starting 5 p.m.
Have a chance to see in person the very good-looking DJ David Callum. The event is organized by SM City Bacolod and Dugout Sports Bar.
As for me, I am planning to wear my Hermes denim pants paired with denim long sleeves shirt by international famous designer Roberto Cavalli.
Come in your best denim to win exciting prizes. Let's enjoy life!
