Grooming and pampering our dogs-A A +A

TWO years ago, every time I go for a massage or haircut at the Terra Dolce commercial building, I passed by Pooch Spa Pet Salon and I would wonder what is this salon all about or what they do to the dogs.
Many of the buena de familias have pet dogs and they usually bring them to a spa.
Along with MWAH model Joel and my assistant Elizer, we brought Bibo, my cutie shih tzu to Pooch Spa, the first pet-grooming salon in Bacolod City.
Aside from pampering my dog, I wanted to observe the activities inside the Pooch Spa.
We were greeted by its gracious and pretty owner, Carleen Ortaliz-Lopez. I introduced myself to her and I felt at ease conversing with her for she is a refined and accommodating lady, being a true-blooded Scholastican.
She told me that she has a partner in this business, who is her brother-in-law, Obet Lopez. Pooch Spa was launched in Bacolod on the very first Doggie Day Camp. (I am looking forward to the next camp.)
Her staff took Bibo from my assistant, took its photos, and ushered it to the grooming area.
Bibo and other “high society dogs” were given grooming services like full bath with shampoo, trimming and hairstyling, tooth-brushing, nail-clipping and buffing, ear and hair plucking, ear cleaning and anal sac draining.
In this column are photos of high-maintenance dog breeds owned by some of the prominent people in the City of Smiles.
“Pooch Spa offers only the best services for your pets. With pet groomers equipped with more than 15 years of pet-grooming experience and friendly staff that make you and your dogs feel at home, your pets are assured of nothing but the best and awesome grooming experience,” Carleen says.
She added that Pooch Spa offers a wide array of pet-grooming products that will make our dogs “Aw-Aw-Awesome.”
I was amused to hear from her that they are also offering massage for the dogs. Later, I saw Bibo looking relaxed while being massaged by an expert masseur for dogs.
With Pooch Spa, my pet Bibo has become more “vivo” and I love him more for that.
