A MONTH-long series of activities marks the 26th year of the Association of Negros Producers (ANP), with the theme "26 Years of Sell-ebrating the Negrense Lifestyle."

The celebrations kicked off with a 3K and 5K Fun Run last Aug. 16 and an Anniversary Sale at The Negros Showroom with up to 50 percent discount on selected products. The anniversary sale is ongoing until Aug. 31 both at the Lacson and Robinsons Place Bacolod branches of The Negros Showroom.

For its anniversary day last Wednesday, Aug. 20, the officers and members of ANP held a motorcade around the city. It was followed by a Mass and luncheon party at the Planta Centro Bacolod Hotel and Residences.

They were joined by their industry partners from both the private and government sectors, led by Bacolod Mayor Monico Puentevella and first lady Josefa Puentevella.

The ANP's Board of Trustees headed by its president, Jojie Locsin, warmly welcomed guests and friends.

The celebration continues as ANP and all its member-producers ready for the 29th Negros Trade Fair, the longest-running provincial trade fair to be held on Sept. 24 to 28 at the Glorietta Activity Center.

ANP Business Development head Trisha Mae Villanueva said that since the association was born on August 20, 1988, the ANP now has 126 members and has gone far in terms of supporting local producers in Negros Occidental.

Indeed, ANP has come a long way, surpassing challenges, evolving markets and growing competition through its dedicated leaders and management staff.
