LEARNING is never-ending. It doesn’t end in the four walls of a classroom. We can also learn from our personal experiences. Sometimes, though, going back to school for further studies can be more exciting and fun.
Last August 16, the University of St. La Salle Graduate Programs held a general assembly to formally welcome the students to the academic year 2014-2015.
Dr. Marie Therese Jochico, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs welcomed the students. USLS president Bro. Raymundo Suplido gave an inspirational message. The honor students were also recognized by the respective deans, while the student council officers were inducted by Bro. Suplido.
In the afternoon, the students had an acquaintance party at the Grand Regal Hotel. It was organized by the student council. It was well represented by administrators, deans, faculty, staff and students. It was a fun-filled afternoon of songs, dances and games like “Meet and Greet a Friend,” “Paint Me a Picture” and the “Bride and Groom” of Graduate School, who were decorated with newspapers.
Almost everyone brought home a gift prize. Some were won in the game, others in the trivia contests and raffle draws. The grand prize was an overnight stay for two in a hotel.
