MEMBERS of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Negros Occidental (HRano) found the time to take off their aprons and get out of their kitchens to share their blessings in a feeding program last February 18.
In cooperation with the San Sebastian Cathedral, HRano reached out to 50 invited children who enjoyed the food the association prepared for them, and the gifts that made them feel special.
In their press statement, they said that the members of HRano are all in the business of welcoming visitors, guests, and clients. It is about hospitality. It is the business of making everyone feels at home when they visit our beloved city of Bacolod and province of Negros Occidental.
In remembering our roots, HRano recognizes the importance of community and our role in making it a better place for everyone, they said.
“We remember that charity starts at home and with this we wish to honor and help our brothers and sisters around us who need help the most,” they added.
They said that the assistance is not only their social obligation but they feel that it is their duty to give back to community that has also given them so much support.
“Bacolod City is known as the City of Smiles. It is the people of Bacolod that makes our city a prime tourist destination that enables all of us to do our business. And with that, we wish to give back to the people of Bacolod who have also given us so much,” the statement added.
More power to HRano! Good food certainly goes hand-in-hand with good souls.
