BACOLOD City Police Office Director Ricardo De la Paz ordered Station 4 commander Adonis Rosales to organize a tracker team to arrest the robbers who killed a sari-sari store owner here recently.

De la Paz said Rosales is directed to form a dedicated team to solve the shooting incident in his area of responsibility, adding his men already have leads on the suspects' identities.

The killing incident happened last Monday evening. The three suspects shot Emiliano Serbinas, 58, of Sto. Nino Village, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City.

The victim was declared dead on arrival at a hospital due to a gunshot wound in the chest.

Initial investigation showed that around 9:15 p.m. while the victim and his wife were preparing to close their sari-sari store in the area, the unidentified suspects suddenly tried to rob them.

Serbinas was shot when he tried to pacify the suspects.

Police recovered from the crime scene one empty shell of .45 caliber revolver.

De la Paz said it's apparently a robbery with homicide case, as robbers took P800 cash from the store.

He said they are not also discounting other possible motives on the incident.
