Army holds 'bayanihan' in Handumanan

THE Peace and Development Team of the 33rd Civil Military Operations (CMO) Company, 3rd CMO Battalion, together with some stakeholders, held a medical mission Saturday at Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City.
The medical mission was spearheaded by 1Lt Edlan Sumpay together with the ABS-CBN-Bacolod, Bantay Bata 163, Bacolod City Health Office, Provincial Health Office, Bacolod Adventist Medical Center, Our Lady of Mercy Specialty Hospital, Barangay Council of Handumanan, Dr. Pablo O. Torre Foundation, Merci Bread and Pastries, Delta Company of 12th Infantry Battalion, 6th Field Artillery Battalion and 303rd Infantry Brigade led by Col. Francisco Patrimonio.

The group provided services such circumcision, dental, medical consultation, haircut, shiatsu massage, feeding and pediatrics.
Patrimonio said the medical mission was in consonance to the AFP’s Internal Peace and Security Plan dubbed "Oplan Bayanihan," where one of its strategic imperatives is the involvement of stakeholders.
“This imperative is a multi-stakeholder’s approach and the paradigm shift of the AFP to a people-centered approach. This activity signified that Negrenses are helping one another to achieve a common goal,” Patrimonio added.
