Tesda offers scholarships-A A +A

THE Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) in Negros Occidental confirmed they are now offering scholarships under the Training for Work Program for 2011-2012.
Tesda Provincial Director Lorena Yunque in a press release said the scholarships are offered through the additional funds from President Benigno Aquino III’s Economic Stimulus Program.
More than 3,000 slots will be available through Tesda-accredited partner schools and training providers.
The scholarship offers are for finishing course for Call Center Agents NC II for Business Process Outsourcing, Contact Center Services NC II, Commercial Cooking NC II and Housekeeping NCII for Tourism and Wellness, Consumer Electronic Servicing NCII for Electronics, Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC I and NCII.
Yunque said the applicants must be at least 18 years old, high school graduate, physically fit and willing to train continuously for at least two to four months and has not availed of any Tesda scholarship in prior years.
Applicants shall undergo assessment by partner-companies and aptitude profiling before they will be referred to Tesda partner training institutions in Negros Occidental.
