ROBBERY charges are now being prepared against the suspect who held up the LBC Libertad branch at Hernaez Street last Saturday, said Bacolod City Police Director Senior Superintendent Ricardo De la Paz Tuesday.
De la Paz said they will file robbery charges against Reynaldo De Jesus, 34, of Purok Pagla-um, Village, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod who took off with P40,000 cash after he robbed the establishment last Saturday.

Investigation showed at about 8:30 a.m., the suspect entered the LBC Libertad Branch and pretended to be a customer. He then pulled out a knife, threatened one of the employees of LBC and declared a hold-up.
The city director asserted that the suspect was positively identified through LBC’s closed circuit TV (CCTV) and the driver’s license he presented in the counter. His identity was further confirmed by his wife through the footage from the CCTV.
He said the operatives of BCPO are now conducting manhunt operation for the apprehension of De Jesus, adding that they will check if the suspect has pending records in BCPO and some areas in Negros Occidental.
De la Paz believes there was connivance in the incident, as the suspect managed to flee immediately after he staged the hold-up and that, when the establishment opened, the suspect was the first person to enter.
