Woman killed in hit-and-run accident

A 40-YEAR-OLD woman was killed after the vehicle she was riding was hit by a truck on Araneta Street in Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City Tuesday evening.
PO2 Orlando Caporal Jr. of the Traffic Management Unit identified the fatality as Jenalyn Nalumen of Barangay Sum-ag.

Investigation showed that around 8:30 p.m., a Suzuki multi-cab with plate number GMY-869 driven by Aladin Adrias, 38, of Purok KBS, Barangay Sum-ag with his passenger, Nalumen, was travelling from north to south of Araneta Street, Barangay Pahanocoy.
The multi-cab was sideswiped by an unidentified truck travelling from south to north of Araneta Street, Caporal said.
Nalumen fell from the multi-cab, while Adrias sustained minor injuries, the police said.
She was rushed to the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center but was declared dead at 9:30 p.m.
The truck and its driver have remained unidentified.
