Fire razes single storey-house

FIRE razed a residential single-storey-house Friday morning at Raquel Street, Purok Sampaguita, Barangay Singcang-Aiport, Bacolod City.

The blaze destroyed at least P2-million in properties but no injuries were reported.

Bureau of Fire protection (BFP) deputy fire marshal Inspector Publio Plotena said at about 1:16 am, they received a call from a Sheila Mae Dejesus informing them that the house of Michael Soberano was on fire.

He said six fire trucks of BFP and two fire trucks from Amity were immediately dispatched to the area and the fire was put out at about 1:40 am.

Investigation showed the fire had started at the ceiling of the garage through an electrical problem or short circuit, Plotena said.
