2 nabbed for illegal drugs

TWO drug suspects were nabbed in stakeout operation by operatives of Station 2 at 27th Lacson Streets, Bacolod City Friday evening.

Station 2 commander Police Senior Inspector Robert Dejucos identified the suspects as Joefric Omega, 21 and Romeo Monteflor, Jr., 27, both residents of Silay, City Negros Occidental.

Dejucos said the suspects were arrested in stakeout operation at 27th Lacson Streets at about 8:30 p.m.

Police recovered from them one improvised tooter and a motorcycle with plate number YI 1128.

Dejucos said they will conduct a further investigation if the suspects, who are presently detained at the lock up cell of Station 2, have pending records in Bacolod City Police Office.

On the other hand, a theft suspect was also arrested by a security guard and was turned over to Station 2 after he was caught stealing the bag of a dental secretary at Lacson Street Friday.

The suspect was identified as Victor Louie Jomalon, 25, of Purok 5, Barangay Dimalona, Osamis City, who was arrested at about 2 p.m.

Dejucos said the suspect was arrested by security guard of VSB Bldg. Lacson Street after he was caught stealing the bag of Precy Matulac, of Barangay 7, Bacolod. His two unidentified companions managed to escape.
Matulac’s bag contained several IDs, wallet with P1,500 cash and some assorted items.

Dejucos said the suspect is presently detained at the lock up cell of Station 2. (Merlinda A. Pedrosa)
