200 avail of medical mission in La Castellana

TWO hundred adult and children availed themselves of the medical and dental mission organized by the Katilingban sang Naghiliusa (Kasanag) Inc. and Kasanag Youth League Pilipinas.

This was in cooperation with the Office of Vice President Jejomar Binay and the local government of La Castellana headed by Mayor Alberto Nicor Jr.

The medical mission was conducted last Saturday at Bipoy Hall, Barangay Robles, La Castellana.

Kasanag founding president John J. Chiong, national chairman lawyer Ike Barredo, medical director Dr. Francis Balsomo and the 303rd Brigade medical team conducted the medical mission which included circumcision, consultation for both children and adult, dental services, hair cut, body massage and feeding program.

“This is our own way of helping those who need medical attention. A lot of people can hardly go to the doctor for consultation. Our organization is bringing this health program to the people who needed them most. We are doing this in the spirit of volunteerism. We believe that there is unity in strength and, with everyone helping this medical mission succeed, a lot of our brothers and sisters were provided with the medical assistance,” said Chiong.

Barredo said he was grateful that people of this town came for the medical mission as this was truly organized for them.

He also thanked the assistance of the 303rd Brigade, Philippine Army Medical Team and Coca Cola Bottler’s Philippines for helping in the undertaking.

La Castellana Sangguniang Bayan Guillermo Arroz welcomed the medical team to the town in behalf of Mayor Nicor. (Carla N. Canet)
