Councilor urges public to help clean city

BACOLOD City Councilor Em Legaspi Ang appealed to the public to help clean the city.
She said Task Force Clean and Green already conducted a clean-up drive for two Saturdays and they want to raise the awareness and consciousness of the people about the importance of cleanliness in the city.

He is hoping the people will cooperate and participate in the clean-up drive.
"I hope that what we are doing will be able to create enough awareness among our people to value cleanliness. Being clean and healthy is not just an obligation of the City Government but also the individual's responsibility. Let's help clean our own homes and the immediate surroundings," she said.
The next clean-up drive is on February 25 and it will cover the area at the back of SM North Wing up to Lopue's East, Galo to Galo-San Juan, Galo-Lopez Jaena and Rizal Street.
Ang said she will also ask the City Legal Enforcement Team to implement the Anti-Littering Ordinance of the city because this will help a lot in minimizing waste in the streets. (CNC)
