The 18-year-old suspect, whose name is also being withheld, was immediately turned over to BCPO.
Rapiz said last January 29, the aunt of the victim reported to BCPO Women and Children Complaints Desk (WCCD) that her niece was missing and failed to go home in their house here in Bacolod.
He said the family of the victim also tried to find her but they failed to locate her here in Negros Occidental.
Investigation showed when the mother of the victim, who’s a Filipina, left the country and went to America to attend the burial of her American husband. She left her daughter to her sister here in Bacolod, Rapiz said.
Rapiz said the WCCD will file abduction charges in relation to Republic Act 7610 against the suspect. (Merlinda A. Pedrosa)
