Driver in P2M rob-slay named

POLICE released the mugshot of one of the two suspects in the robbery-slay in Kabankalan City last Wednesday where they ran-off with about P2 million and killed a bodyguard.
Kabankalan Police chief Calixto Mabug-at named one of the suspects as Richard Gonzales, alyas “Pangga”, 33, and a resident of sitio San Juan, Sonedco, Barangay Camugao, Kabankalan City.

Gonzales was the driver of the motorcycle used by the two suspects in the robbery hold-up that transpired last February 15 outside the residence of sugar trader Herminia Ledesma at Ramos Subdivision, Barangay 4.
Mabugat added the Honda XRM125 CC motorcycle used by the suspects was registered to Dennis C. Maano of Victorias City.
Gonzales, who was positively identified by witnesses as the driver of the getaway motorcycle, has a pending case for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before Regional Trial Court Branch 61 Kabankalan City and is released on bail. (Butch Bacaoco)
