MidSEA Express to fly Boracay-Bacolod in April

BACOLOD tourists who like to go to Boracay in a 15-minute flight via MidSEA Express will soon enjoy this starting April this year, said MidSEA consultant Glenn Lamela.

As the world’s second best beach, Boracay is getting the interest of many people in the country, according to Lamela.

“Thus, we tapped the airline to service Bacolodnons so they will enjoy a more convenient trip to Boracay, instead of taking other options. It will take a 15-minute flight from Bacolod to Boracay. This is expected to be launched in April,” he added.

Lamela paid a courtesy call on Bacolod City officials recently. He said he hopes to get the support of the officials, especially the mayor, to boost tourism.

Boracay and Bacolod will offer an excellent travel option, since it will provide a perfect combination of white beach and the culture, golf and culinary attractions found in Bacolod.

MidSEA Express is a 19-seater jet and is a VIP-configured aircraft. It is Cebu-based and operates at Terminal 2 of the Cebu Airport.

The airline is now operating in Cebu, serving Camiguin Island and Bohol, Bohol-Cagayan De Oro. (Carla N. Canet)
