Robber nabbed after victimizing Korean

A ROBBERY suspect was nabbed after he snatched the wallet of a Korean national at corner Burgos-Lacson Street, Barangay 9, Bacolod City Monday afternoon.
Police Station 1 commander Adonis Rosales identified the suspect as Drinaldo Espillo of Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod.

Rosales said the suspect was arrested after he allegedly snatched the wallet of Sunju Park.
He said the victim reported that around 4 p.m. while he was walking along Burgos-Lacson Street, the suspect suddenly approached him and snatched his Prada wallet, which contained P1,300, IDs and important documents.
The suspect tried to escape but he was mobbed by some bystanders in the area until he was arrested by operatives of Station 1 at Lacson Street.
Police recovered from his possession the wallet of the victim, a seven-inch knife, and a suspected marijuana joint.
Rosales said the suspect is presently detained at the Station 1 jail. (MAP)
