TWO additional security personnel were detailed at the Provincial Capitol Lagoon after a series of incidents occurred at the public park, said Roberto Jalandoni, in charge of the security at the Lagoon.
Recently, a member of the Bacolod City police who was strolling inside the lagoon with a companion was ganged up and stabbed by a group believed to be members of a fraternity.
The police officer survived the attack and managed to shoot one of his attackers.
Other petty crimes such as robbery and cell phone snatching were also reported in the vicinity of the Lagoon, which is frequented by people as a place for recreation and physical fitness, especially in the early morning. (Teresa D. Ellera)
