Drug pusher nabbed

A SUSPECTED drug pusher was nabbed in a buy-bust operation by operatives of Silay City Philippine National Police (PNP) at sitio Estaca, Barangay Lantad, Saturday evening.

Silay City PNP deputy chief Police Senior Inspector Jesus Mesahon identified the suspect as Lorene Canson alias “Daming,” of Barangay Lantad, Silay.

Mesahon said Canson was arrested after she handed to a police poseur buyer two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu in exchange of P300 marked money at about 8:30 p.m.

He said two elongated heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, four small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one improvised tooter, two disposable lighters, scissors, 11 pieces of aluminum foil, P300 marked money and P880 cash proceeds were recovered from Canson’s possession during her apprehension.

Mesahon said the suspect, who was already being monitored as she engaged in illegal drug trade in Silay City, is presently detained at the lockup cell of Silay City police station. (Merlinda A. Pedrosa)
