Ex-senator’s wife: Politics my concern yet
-A A +AMonday, August 6, 2012
POLITICS is not yet the concern of Jewel Mae Lobaton, the estranged wife of Senator Koko Pimentel, as she is still busy with her advocacy for the staging of Jam Step Philippines and other professional and family concerns.
Lobaton said that she still has several preoccupations that need her time and effort more than the pursuit of politics.
She said that although the possibilities are there, only time can tell what destiny may bring for her after her separation with her husband Senator Pimentel.
There were talks about her running for vice mayor of Bacolod City. The talks lasted until Senator Pimentel announced their separation.
For now, she said that she is not yet ready to run. “But if God will put me there, why not? Even President PNoy who was reluctant to run for President is now our President. But only God can tell my destiny,” she said.
She thanked her fellow Bacolodnons who prayed for her and her family to hurdle the painful separation between her and her estranged husband.
She said said she will be frequenting Bacolod in preparation for the Jam Step Philippines, an advocacy for healthy lifestyle in cooperation with Bacolod City lone district Representative Anthony Golez, the Departments of Health, Tourism, Education and other major sponsors. (Carla N. Canet)
