POLICE Senior Inspector Terence Paul Sta. Ana has returned as the chief of Station 10 after his six-month suspension ended last July 3.
Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Director Ricardo De la Paz said on Monday, Sta. Ana took over as the new chief of Station 10 in replacement of Police Senior Inspector Ruel Culanag who was assigned as officer-in-charge of Bacolod City Public Safety Company Special Weapons and Tactics (Swat).
Culanag served as Station 10 commander for almost six months during the suspension of Sta. Ana.
Sta. Ana was relieved from Station 10 last February after receiving his suspension order from the Office of the Ombudsman-Visayas signed by Deputy Ombudsman Orlando Casimiro that was also implemented by Police Regional Office-Western Visayas.
Sta. Ana, together with Police Officer 1 (PO1) Jomar Efundo, PO1 Richard Ivan Lopez, PO2 Arnold Albansa and PO3 Anthony Alvarez who were assigned in Iloilo City Police Office, were suspended last February after a complaint for grave misconduct and abuse of authority were filed in 2010 against them before the Office of the Ombudsman.
De la Paz directed Sta. Ana to continue the anti-criminality campaign of BCPO within his area of responsibility and to initiate preemptive operations to neutralize the criminalities that operates in different areas of Bacolod. (Merlinda A. Pedrosa)
