TMU taps LTO’s help to identify driver involved in collision

THE Traffic Management Unit (TMU) tapped the help of Land Transportation Office (LTO) to determine the identity of the tricycle driver who was involved in collision at Felisa Road, Villa Maria Subdivision, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City on Sunday evening where two passengers were killed.
Police Officer 2 Eliseo Adraneda Jr., TMU case investigator, said on Tuesday they already have a lead on the identity of the tricycle driver who fled after the accident.
Initial investigation showed at about 9 p.m., a Suzuki Multi Cab ambulance with plate number SGL 237 driven by Fernando Adrada, 47, of Purok Matinahuron, Barangay Felisa was bringing Annabelle Villanueva, 28, of Barangay Felisa to the hospital.
The vehicle collided with a tricycle with plate number 1242 PT driven by an unidentified driver and loaded with five passengers, namely: Felix Pamplona, 66; Crisanto Serna, 38; Alfredo Roquez, 46; Alvin Latergo, 45, all residents Barangay Handumanan; and Larry Valderama, 45, of Bangga Totong, Baranngay Felisa.
Adraneda said the ambulance was travelling north of Felisa Road, Barangay Mansilingan while the tricycle was going on the opposite direction.
Pamplona and Serna died while being treated in Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital while the three others were injured and were also treated in said hospital.
Police are still conducting further investigation to determine possible charges to be filed against the tricycle driver and the driver of the ambulance, who voluntarily surrendered in Police Station 10 after the accident. (MAP)
