FORMER Bacolod City Councilor Renecito Novero might join the Liberal Party (LP) under third District Representative Albee Benitez and Frank Carbon, LP chairman.
Novero was present during the oathtaking rites Friday at the Bacolod Pavilion Hotel upon the invitation of Carbon.
Benitez was asked if he will support Novero in his plan to run for vice mayor in the the city. The solon replied that such decision to support Novero in his plan for vice mayor of Bacolod should be a collective decision of the Bacolod LP.
Novero said he believes in the conviction of the party and that it was fundamental on his part to be at the oathtaking of the new members of the Bacolod LP on Friday.
Novero added there will be no problem with his entry to the Liberal party and that these are, in his view, all good possibilities.
Meanwhile, after the oathtaking, Carbon said party officials will go back to the drawing board to review their strategy and will work with the provincial LP to decide their line-up in Bacolod City.
He intimated that the decision on the local bets that the LP will support might come out by the end of August or first week of September. (Carla N. Canet)
