AN ARMY corporal, who was caught by his army sergeant wife in a motel with his alleged paramour, may face administrative liability.
Colonel Oscar Lactao, commander of the Philippine Army’s 303rd Infantry Brigade, said he has directed his staff to investigate the administrative liability of the army official.
“It’s a personal problem between them but I have directed my staff to investigate, as far as both their administrative liability is concerned” Lactao said.
The concerned parties, both under the 303rd Brigade and whose identities are being withheld, caused a five-hour drama on Friday afternoon at Adam’s Lodge here in Barangay Bata.
The wife suspected that her husband was having an affair and had him under surveillance.
An informant confirmed that the army corporal checked in at the said motel at about 11:15 a.m. with his alleged paramour, a Provincial Government employee.
The wife went to the motel and told her husband of her presence. Her husband and the other woman didn’t get out of the room.
They only went out when the parents of the 26-year-old alleged paramour and a senior officer of the husband arrived.
The area was cordoned off by the police while the “negotiations” were going on for five hours.
While at the police station, the wife said she was going to file charges against her husband and the Provincial Government employee.
The husband allegedly claimed that he and his wife are separated because they did not have a child in the nine years that they were together.
The parents of the government employee said they thought the army corporal was single as he claimed.
