Cruz to strictly implement one-strike policy

WESTERN Visayas Police Director Agrimero Cruz reminded all station commanders in Negros Occidental on the implementation of one-strike police on illegal gambling or jai alai.
"There would be no tolerance and they should intensify their operation against illegal gambling within their area of responsibility or else they will be relieved," Cruz said.
Cruz visited the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) on Tuesday with Police Senior Superintendent Wesley Barayuga, Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Noppo) officer-in-charge Police Senior Superintendent Milko Lirazan, Regional Public Safety Battalion officer-in-charge Iver Apellido and BCPO Director Ricardo De la Paz.
Cruz said he will strictly implement the one-strike policy in Noppo and BCPO.
He said the operation of Police Superintendent Manuel Payos with the Noppo Intelligence head Police Superintendent Leonardo Angcon in Bacolod City against jai alai is a regional operation.
Cruz said Payos and Angcon are members of the Regional Anti-Illegal Gambling Task Force, which replaced the Regional Special Operations Group that earlier operates on illegal gambling in Bacolod City and in Negros Occidental. (MAP)
