POLICE Regional Office-Western Visayas Director Agrimero Cruz asked all the station commanders in Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) and in Negros Occidental Police Provincial (Noppo) to strengthen their campaign against robbery hold-up suspects within their areas of responsibility.
Cruz was in Bacolod City on Tuesday to meet Governor Alfredo Marañon and City Mayor Evelio Leonardia. He also visited the headquarters of Noppo and BCPO.
Cruz said he will further investigate several robbery incidents in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City.
"The station commanders should solve the robbery hold-up incidents and we should know why these incidents happened," he said.
The regional director reminded station commanders to develop the integrated transformation program and performance governance system.
"We should be experts on our jobs. We should know our obligations and we should do it to the best of our abilities," he stressed.
Cruz said station commanders should know the crime incidents in their area of responsibility and they should know how to dispatch their beat patrols.
He also asked station commanders to stop illegal activities in Negros Occidental and in Bacolod City, as well as to strengthen the reward and punishment system.
Cruz said he is not used to direct or to give an order to his men, as he is a democratic leader.
"I want you to act voluntarily in your job," he said.
