7 city police officers to undergo 3 months schooling-A A +A

SEVEN police commissioned officers of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) will undergo three months public safety officers advance course at the Regional Training School in Barangay Mansilingan.
BCPO Director Senior Supt. Ricardo De la Paz yesterday said the seven are Senior Inspectors Lester Leada, head of Operations Branch; Jose Mulleta, head of City Intelligence Branch (CIB); Niel Exaltado, head of City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group (CAIDSOTG); Senior Inspectors Charles Gever, head of Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS); Leilani Garcia, head of Human Resource and Development Department (HRDD); Ruel Culanag, of Special Weapons and Tactics; and Benedicto Villarias.
De la Paz said effective Thursday, Leada, Exaltado, Gever, Mulleta, and Garcia were relieved from their respective posts for their three months schooling.
He said Senior Inspector Jeffrey Attunaga, deputy chief of Operations Branch, was assigned as the new head of Operations Branch; Inspector Mark Angelo Junco, assigned as an acting chief of CIB; Senior Police Officer 1 Rhanie Songaling, was also assigned as the acting chief of WSS.
De la Paz added that Superintnendent Alexander Ermeo, BCPO deputy for operation, was designated as chief of CAIDSOTG while Chief Inspector Danilo Francisco, head of Administration Branch, was also designated as chief of HRDD.
The city director explained the said officers were required to undergo the public safety officers advance course for their career advancement as part of their requirement to be promoted to the next higher rank.
He said the course is normally held in Metro Manila. “Now it’s the opportunity of our officers to enroll here.”
He added that after the schooling of said officers, they will go back to BCPO. (Merlinda A. Pedrosa)
