NPC to field Yulo or Malabor vs. Mirasol-A A +A
Wednesday, September 19, 2012
THE Nationalist People's Coalition will field Board Member Emilio Yulo III or former Isabela Mayor Renato Malabor for fifth district representative against incumbent Representative Alejandro Mirasol of the Liberal Party.
Vice governor Genaro Alvarez, standard bearer of NPC in the province, said that if Yulo will be chosen as the party's bet against Mirasol then Malabor will run as board member or vice versa.
Yulo ran and lost to Mirasol in a special election held in June this year.
Like in the fifth district, Alvarez declared that the congressmen who are not going to run under their ticket will expect opponents, like the lawmakers in the second and fourth district.
Alvarez refused to give the names, of the party's candidates in the second and fourth district, who will fight it out against the incumbents Alfredo Marañon Jr. and Jeffrey Ferrer who are backing Alvarez's opponent incumbent governor Alfredo Marañon Jr.
"Let's wait until this Saturday and we would finally know the NPC's official candidates in the entire province," Alvarez said.
The NPC activity on Saturday will be the mass oath-taking ceremony of its new members, based on the invitation sent by Mayor Isidro Zayco, the NPC provincial chair.
NPC's top officials are coming for the said activity. These officials include the party's chairman emeritus Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco Jr., national chairman Governor Faustino Dy, Secretary General Congressman Mark Leandro Mendoza and president Frisco San Juan, according to Representative Mercedes Alvarez (6th district).
