Gen. Calima installs Senoron as Regional Intel Chief-A A +A

INTELLIGENCE Group Director Charles Calima Jr. installed Police Chief Superintendent William Senoron as the Regional Intelligence Unit Chief Wednesday.
The turn-over ceremony was held at the Intelligence Group office at Camp Martin Delgado, Port San Pedro, Iloilo City.
Senoron, also a highly trained police officer, has replaced Police Superintendent Lope Duron, who completed his two-year tour of duty as RIU Chief.
"Let us continue our partnership with the people in our community. We can be effective if the people become part of us. Let us harness our capability to organize the people and have an efficient intelligence network. We should integrate with the people so that they could help is curb criminality," Calima said.
Calima said he is expecting more arrests under the command of Senoron, who has vowed to perform his duties and responsibilities.
General Calima with Colonel Manuel Felix, Deputy Regional Director, and other police officers awarded the "Medalya ng Kagitingan" to RIU personnel.
They were Police Superintendent Duron, Police Inspector Julio Torculas, Police Officers Joshua Barile, Jerome Javier, Dennis Santes, Rogelio Lumugda, Francis Garganta, Elbert Demiren and Louie John Meni.
The "Medalya ng Papuri" was awarded to Duron.
Three civilians were awarded with "Letter of Recognition" for their valuable support and contribution to the Regional Intelligence Unit, thereby contributing greatly to the accomplishments of the unit's mission particularly in the campaign against organized threat groups and lawless elements.
The awardees were Arman Toga, President of the Negros Press Club, Filoteo Palmares of the Rotary Club of Iloilo West, and Jonas Jutare of Estancia Environmental Society. (Carla N. Canet)
