A SEXAGENARIAN with pending arrest warrant was nabbed in joint operations by operatives of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Warrant and Subpoena Section and the Cauayan town PNP Tuesday afternoon.
BCPO Spokesperson Santiago Rapiz Wednesday identified the suspect as Manuelito Sueto, 60, of Barangay 30, Bacolod City who was arrested at 4 p.m.
Rapiz said the suspect was arrested in joint operation by WSS led by PO3 Nestor Mioten and the Cauayan PNP by virtue of arrest warrant for robbery issued by Judge Gorgonio Ybanez, of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 48, Bacolod City with P200,000 for his temporary liberty.
He said Sueto was the suspect in robbery hold-up victimizing a 64-year old, whose name is being withheld, at Barangay 30, of said city last March 2008.
Rapiz added that after the suspect took the victim’s money, he stabbed the victim in the right eye that resulted to his blindness.
The suspect is presently detained at the lock up cell of Cauayan police station and scheduled to be transferred in the said city. (Merlinda A. Pedrosa)
