Woman hurt by stray bullet

A 30-YEAR old woman sustained hematoma in her right hand after she was accidentally hit by a stray bullet at Barangay Banago, Bacolod City last Tuesday at 11 a.m.
Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) spokesman Santiago Rapiz Wednesday identified the victim as Leah Yanson of Purok Mahimulaton, Barangay Banago.
Rapiz said Yanson sustained hematoma in her right hand after she was accidentally hit by a stray bullet at about 11 am.
Rapiz said when the operatives of Station 3 led by Police Senior Inspector Conrado Rances III responded in the area, they recovered one bullet of unknown firearm and it will be subjected for ballistic examination.
He said Station 3 is still conducting further investigation to determine the possible person responsible in said incident.
Last Sunday, a 15-year old, whose name is being withheld, was also injured when he was accidentally hit by stray bullet in Barangay Mandalagan, of same city. (Merlinda A. Pedrosa)
