Leonardia named NPC district chair, Sayson appointed city chair

THE Nationalist People's Coalition (NPC) has appointed Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonadia as the party district chairman and Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson as city chairman.
The appointment was signed by NPC President Frisco F. San Juan and NPC Chairman Faustino S. Dy Jr. and was noted by NPC Secretary General Representative Mark Leandro L. Mendoza.
With their appointment was another letter addressed to the Law Department of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) designating Sayson as the party's authorized signatory in Bacolod City.
"As a requirement of the Committee on Elections per Comelec Resolution No. 9518 Sec. 6, Filing of Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance of Official Candidates of a Political Party/Coalition of Political Parties, we are respectfully submitting the following name and specimen signature of the authorized signatory to sign the party's official Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance: Name of Authorized Signatory: JUDE THADDEUS A. SAYSON; Designation: City Chairpeson, and Area: Bacolod City," stated the authorization signed by Dy.
Sayson also confirmed this appointment.
As to the party's final slate for Bacolod City, Sayson said they have not yet finalized the list, although they already have their choices for councilors.
As to the candidate for vice mayor, he will not yet divulge who will be chosen from among the aspirants Councilors Al Victor Espino, Bobby Rojas, Homer Bais and Dindo Ramos.
