Bacolod's second most wanted falls-A A +A

THE number two most wanted in Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) was arrested in an internet cafe at downtown area Friday evening.
BCPO Director Ricardo De la Paz Sunday identified the suspect as Aries Chicova, 27, of Purok Katilingban, Bacolod City who was arrested at 6 p.m.
De la Paz said Chicova was arrested by virtue of three arrest warrants from Bago City Regional Trial Court (RTC) for robbery with homicide with no bail recommended, violation of Republic Act 9165 with P120,000 bail recommended for his temporary liberty, and violation of PD 1866 with P60,000 bail recommended for his temporary liberty.
De la Paz added that Chicova was one of the notorious suspects who recently escaped from the lock up cell of Bago City Police Station.
Chicova is presently detained at the lock up cell of Station 1.
On the other hand, two men with pending arrest warrants were also arrested by operatives of Station 4 Friday.
Police Senior Inspector Dianne Grace Aquitania of said station identified the suspect as Raymond Longno of Bacolod City; and Mario Balenario Jr., 23, of Purok Tisa, Barangay 20.
Aquitania said Longno was arrested when he visited his friend detained in said station.
She said Longno has a pending arrest warrant for robbery issued by Judge Eliseo Geolingo of RTC Branch 45, Bacolod City with P100,000 bail recommended for his temporary liberty.
Balenario was also arrested at Barangay 19, of same city at 4 p.m. by virtue of arrest warrant for violation of Republic Act 9165 issued by Judge Edgar Garvilles of RTC Branch 47.
The suspects are presently detained at the lock up cell of Station 4. (Merlinda A. Pedrosa)
