1.4M voters expected to cast votes in Negros next year

THE 1,436,019 voters in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City are expected to cast votes in the 2013 elections.
As of August 22, 2012, the Provincial Office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has recorded 1,195,793 total number of registered voters in Negros Occidental and 240,226 in Bacolod City.
The first district of the province has 188,113 total registered voters; second district with 164,893; third district with 235,502; fourth district with 190,390; fifth district with 209,729; and sixth district with 207,166.
As to the total number of precincts, Comelec records bare that Negros Occidental has 8,122 established precincts with 3,465 clustered precincts while Bacolod City has 1,655 of established precincts with 772 clustered precincts. (Teresa D. Ellera)
