Vice mayor urges partymates to work for victory in 2013

NATIONALIST People's Coalition (NPC) mayoralty aspirant Bacolod City Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson appealed to his partymates in the NPC-Grupo Progreso team to help work for their victory in the 2013 polls.
Sayson said the internal clashes were just a normal situation following the selection of only one candidate for vice mayor in the person of Bacolod City Water District (BCWD) Director Greg Gasataya.
"If only I can put up a first vice mayor, second vice mayor, third vice mayor and fourth, I will do it only to please those who aspire for the position. I understand their sentiments because I have been in that situation before where I also gave up my political ambition to let the party decision prevail," Sayson said.
"I know that sometimes you will feel bad when the decision is unfavorable to you. We cannot say that we are normal if we say that everything is just okay. However, it is a process that we have to take, especially for those who aspire to become vice mayor," Sayson explained.
Sayson said there will always be questions but he pointed out that it also happened to him and to Gasataya in 2010, when he was supposed to run for vice mayor.
"As a true soldier of the party, we abided with the party decision and put our full support to whoever the party has chosen. I believe that, with a little time, we can heal the little difference. We have been together for so long already. We have braved and survived a lot of challenges. I believe that, because of our relationships that were deepened by times and trials, we could look forward and put the party victory in 2013," Sayson said. (Carla N. Canet)
