Gasataya welcomes NPC nomination

NATIONALIST People's Coalition (NPC) Bacolod vice mayoralty candidate Greg Gasataya said that he accepted the party nomination sincerely.
The candidates seeking for a local elective post will have more or less eight months from filing of their certificate of candidacy (COC) until 2013 polls.
Gasataya said that, once he files his COC, he is deemed resigned as the Bacolod City Water District (BCWD) Director.
He said that they already completed all their board meetings two weeks ago and he already informed the members of the board and the management about his political plan with the endorsement he got from the NPC as its official candidate for vice mayor in the Bacolod City.
As to the internal clashes within NPC after his endorsement, Gasataya said that he respects the reactions and opinions of his fellow NPC members. He said he believes that they don't have any personal grudges.
Gasataya served his nine years or full three terms as councilor of Bacolod and was consistent No. 1 councilor during his second and third terms.
Gasataya's possible opponents are lawyer Renecito Novero, Vladimir Gonzales, and several others.
Councilor Al Victor Espino and Dindo Ramos, meanwhile, are still discerning their next plan whether to seek election for vice mayor or go back to private life. (Carla N. Canet)
