FORMER Bacolod City Lone District Representative and mayoralty aspirant Monico O. Puentevella named businessman Vladimir Gonzales as his choice for vice mayor in Bacolod City in the 2013 election.
He said he will make an official announcement of their slate, possibly on Tuesday, but it is sure that Gonzales will be his running mate against Nationalist People's Coalition Grupo Progreso mayoralty candidate Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson and vice mayoralty candidate Greg Gasataya.
His reason for choosing Gonzales against his loyal ally Councilor Archie Baribar who expressed his interest to run for Vice Mayor will be known during the presentation of their slate within the week, said Puentevella.
The filing of the certificate of candidacy will start today, October 1 until October 5, 2012, and all political parties and candidates will be busy in publicly presenting their slate and their preparation for the filing of their respective COCs.
Moreover, Puentevella also announced over DyRL's Mercado Publico program that he holds no grudge against a considered relative Mayor Evelio R. Leonadia.
He said since he is eyeing the mayoralty post while Leonardia will run for congressman, this means that they both have nothing in conflict.
Only Leonardia and Bacolod City Lone District Representative Anthony Golez Jr. are political enemies.
"I don't have plans anymore to run after those who were in conflict with me, especially Mayor Bing," he said.
He believes that the Ramos clan might reunite them as a family, he said.
Previous interviews with Leonardia on this matter only got a shrug and a smile. Puentevella believes that he and Leonardia will soon reunite. (CNC)
