BCPO deploys police in Bacolod Comelec

SOME police personnel were deployed at the Bacolod Commission on Elections (Comelec) office to secure peaceful filing of certificate of candidacy (COC), Police Office spokesperson Santiago Rapiz said Monday.
Rapiz said Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Director Ricardo De la Paz assigned some police personnel in Comelec at Bacolod Bays Center as requested by Comelec officer lawyer Mavil Majarucon.
Rapiz said the BCPO will secure the area until the last day of filing of COC on Friday.
The filling of COC starts from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from October 1 to 5, 2012.
Rapiz claimed in the first day of the filing of COC Monday, it was peaceful and no untoward incidents recorded.
He said Station 1 led by Police Chief Inspector Adonis Rosales was also directed by the city director to intensify the visibility patrol within his area of responsibility especially at the Comelec office and Bacolod Public Plaza. (Merlinda A. Pedrosa)
