Jam Step set at SM MOA on Oct. 6

ANG Batang Pinoy chairperson Jewel Mae Lobaton Tuesday said that the Jam Step Philippines, one of the latest fitness dance craze, will be staged on October 6 at SM Mall of Asia in Manila from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

President Benigno Aquino III and Vice President Jejomar Binay will be there joining the said event, according to PMA spokesperson Dr. Mike Aragon.

Jam Step is an aerobic exercise supported by the Department of Health (DOH) and Ang Batang Pinoy.

Jam Step Philippines, which is a joint advocacy of Lobaton and Bacolod City Lone District Representative Anthony Golez Jr., is anchored on a theme: “Isang Hakbang, Isang Kalusugan, Isang Bansa ng Mamamayang Pilipino sa Pagbabago.”

Part of the activities of the Ang Batang Pinoy is the staging of a concert by Filipino pop and jazz singer Kuh Ledesma kag Ang mga Dungganon sang Bacolod at The University of Saint La Salle (USLS) - Bacolod Coliseum, 7 p.m. on October 6, 2012.

Ledesma will be joined by singers Audie Gemora, Isabella Gonzalez, PBB Teen grandwinner Myrtle Sarrosa, PBB Teen runner up twin sisters Joj and Jai Agpangan, Prince of R&B and Pop singer Young J.V. Kapunan and grand finalist of the World Champions of the Performing Arts Keith Princess Jover.

This benefit concert is organized by the Negros Occidental Alumni Association Inc. and the proceeds will go to the construction of the negros Occidental High School (NOHS) Museum and Microsoft Building. (Carla N. Canet)
