REELECTIONIST Councilor Sonya Verdeflor filed her candidacy paper Friday and vowed to continue serving and advocating the cause of women and children in Bacolod City.
Verdeflor was elected as Councilor of Bacolod from 2001 to 2004 as an independent candidate. She sought election again from 2010 to 2013 as a member of the Nationalist People's Coalition (NPC). Now she has offered again her service to the people by seeking reelection in the same post now under Liberal Party (LP).
“I am happy to be part of the Magnificent 7, a group that espoused one policy direction,” she said.
She said that she, lawyer Renecito Novero, Councilor Archie Baribar, and the rest of the candidates of the Magnificent 7 have linked and bonded together in Church and in public service.
She said she wants to continue her service to the people of Bacolod through family and child care, education, and employment.
Verdeflor said she has maintained her office that is open to any Bacolodnon who needs her service through legislation, programs, and projects.
“I am very much willing to serve the people of Bacolod,” she said. (Carla N. Canet)
