INDEPENDENT congressional candidate lawyer Lyndon Caña said that from the time he filed his certificate of candidacy, he has received overwhelming support from various sectors and individuals in Negros Occidental.

He said he never expected that the support has snowballed, inspiring him more to work hard to win the election against incumbent Representative Anthony Golez Jr. and Mayor Evelio Leonardia.

"I never expected this and I never experienced this in my entire political life. I did not expect that my candidacy will become light and easy," he said.

Caña was the last to file his candidacy before the Commission on Elections last Friday.

He said he will represent the so-called "conscience bloc" in Bacolod City. (CNC)
