Capitol workers hope to receive P9K bonus-A A +A
Wednesday, October 10, 2012
THE Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (Pace) officials said they are hoping that the Provincial Budget Office will release their anniversary bonus amounting to P9,000 for each employee.
The officials said they have been waiting for the release of the bonus after the Provincial Board (PB) approved the budget intended for it during their regular session last Wednesday.
They said Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. has already approved the release of the bonus on a staggered basis for the employees; however, in a meeting earlier, Provincial Budget officer Percival Salado informed the department heads that such release of the bonus had no legal basis.
Anniversary bonus, according to the employees, is given every three years.
The employees said they have received such bonus in previous years and are only having difficulties with the present system of the provincial budget officer.
As of posting, Salado could not be reached for comment. (Teresa D. Ellera)
