Marañon to present final bid for Palaro hosting

NEGROS Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. is set to present before the Department of Education (DepEd) the final bid of the province for the hosting of the Palarong Pambansa 2013 on April.
Angel Verdeflor, consultant on sports of Marañon, said they are confident that Negros Occidental will win in the bidding for the Palaro hosting.
Also vying for the hosting is Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
Verdeflor said in terms of capabilities, especially the venues and billeting centers, Negros Occidental is prepared and qualified.
About 10,000 to 20,000 athletes, delegates, and spectators are expected during the Palaro. (Teresa D. Ellera)
