Bizman's bodyguard nabbed for violating MassKara gun ban

A BODYGUARD of a businessman in Bacolod City was arrested by operatives of Station 3 for violation of MassKara gun ban in Barangay Bata, Bacolod City, Sunday evening.
Station 3 commander Conrado Rances III identified the suspect as Jey Rondain, 40, of Barangay Central Tabao, Valladolid town, Negros Occidental.
Rances said Rondain was arrested during the conduct of “Oplan Bakal” in a videoke bar at Lacson National Highway, Barangay Bata around 11:30 p.m.
Police recovered from him one Armscor .38 caliber revolver with three live ammunitions.
Rondain is reportedly a bodyguard of a businessman in Bacolod City.
Rances said the suspect failed to present pertinent documents for his firearm and he is presently detained at the lock-up cell of Station 3.
Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) spokesperson Santiago Rapiz said Rondain is the fifth person arrested by BCPO since the implementation of the citywide gun ban.
He said BCPO Director Ricardo De la Paz ordered all the station commanders to intensify their implementation of citywide gun ban within their areas of responsibility.
