GOVERNOR Alfredo Marañon Jr. assured during the project's dedication and laying of time capsule Thursday that the Negros First Cyber Center will be completed.
"Let's put politics aside. This edifice is for the next generation. This will last for generation to generation to serve our people," Marañon said.
The P170-million supplemental budget for the Phase 2 of the cyber center is still pending for approval before the Provincial Board.
Marañon envisions the same call center edifice will be replicated in major cities in the province. He said the project is the answer to diversification which the political leaders and the planters in the province have been looking for during the past years.
He said the return of investment for the project is expected within three years only and that the cyber center can general an income of P1 billion annually.
The governor said this is an opportunity for the young people in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental province.
