BCPO on full alert

THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is on full alert today, Saturday, for the highlights of MassKara Festival celebration, BCPO Director Ricardo De la Paz said.
De la Paz said they are now on full alert on monitoring suspicious individuals who might take advantage of the highlights of MassKara Festival celebration.
De la Paz said they expect big numbers of MassKara Festival revelers at the Bacolod Public Plaza and Lacson Street.
He said several policemen were deployed in different festival sites to secure the peace and order during the Masskara Festival activities.
De la Paz claimed they also intensified their intelligence efforts to monitor the groups of pickpocket, snatching, budol-budol, and basag kotse from other regions who might also attempt to victimize the MassKara revelers during the highlights.
Earlier, two pickpockets from Samar were arrested after they took the wallet of the victim while they were on board a public utility jeepneys (PUJ).
De la Paz also reminded the public to be vigilant while roaming in different areas of Bacolod to avoid untoward incidents. (Merlinda A. Pedrosa)
