THREE members of a family were killed and three others are still confined at the hospital after they were allegedly poisoned after eating “lopoy” fish Thursday night in Purok Riverside, Barangay Banago, Bacolod City.
The victims were identified as Delia, 36, pregnant; and her son, Darwin Jabel, 4.
The six-month-old fetus inside Delia's womb also died with her.
Other members of the Jabel family who are still confined at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) were identified as Jonabel, 13, and Jessa Jabel, 2.
Radio interviews show that the Jabel family suffered from food poisoning and amoeba.
The Jabel family, according to their neighbors, complained of stomachache, nausea and vomiting after having consumed “lopoy” fish for dinner.
Members of the Jabel family are still looking at the origin of “lopoy” fish that was brought by Delia at Puno Banago. (Teresa D. Ellera)
